Theresa made me feel comfortable. She helped me with labouring the way she suggested different positions to try, which brought on the contractions. Without the doula, I probably would have just laid there and eventually been induced or had a c-section.
I don't see any area of improvement needed in Theresa's services.
We have already started to tell people about Labour Care and how good it is. If we decide to have another child, we would use these services again.

It put my mind more at ease going into labour and breathing through the pain.
If someone was nervous about things eg: VBAC, first child etc... I would recommend a doula assited birth. Or if the partner wasn't sure of what to do during the whole ordeal. It helps take some of the pressure off.

The delivery of the first baby was everything I had hoped it would be. The stress that took effect in the two hours of waiting for the second baby could not be avoided.
Overall, the doula was a big help.

The doula provided effective comfort measures, explained and helped us avoid the use of drugs in order for a natural
childbirth. She suggested new positions which brought on my wife's contractions when the doctor and medical staff could not figure out why the baby wasn't coming. She explained to us what the doctor and medical staff were talking about. I would definitely recommend doula services because of her helping us to avoid having the baby induced. She also told us what to expect. She provided comfort for both of us, when doctors were talking about a c-section. The doula suggested many positions changes which even surprised the medical staff.
Without her help things might have ended up a lot worse.

Theresa provided assurance that young parents with first baby, so they would have a very positive experience. Since this is the start of their parenthood, I believe a doula has a significant influence on their attitude toward good parenting.
I would recommend Theresa's services because it is best for mother, father and baby to have a support such as this in a continuous basis. Hospital nursing staff ratio to patient does not allow for this level of support during labour. This type of support is "natural" and "relaxed".
